Morning at the resort. Greek Cooking class at MO (€180pp). Evening: drive to Pylos for the Good Friday epitaphios procession — flowers, candles, the symbolic burial of Christ through the village. Quiet, profound. Light dinner back at the villa.
Holy Saturday · ANASTASI
Rest day, prepare for late night. Light dinner ~20:00. At 23:00 your driver takes you to the Church of the Transfiguration in Pylos. 23:30 service begins. At midnight every light cuts. The priest emerges with one candle. The flame passes light-to-light through 800 villagers — "Christos Anesti." Bells. Fireworks over the harbor. 01:00 back at MO — magiritsa on the villa terrace. This is the night you came for.
Easter Sunday lamb feast
Slow morning. 13:00 Easter lamb-on-the-spit + kokoretsi in the MO gardens — the resort's annual Easter feast. Afternoon nap. Easter Sunday dinner light at Inbi (Japanese, sunset views).

Slow breakfast, pack. Private driver 3 hours via Tripoli and Argos to Porto Heli. Check into your Amanzoe sea-view pavilion with private pool. Sundowner. 20:30 dinner at the Amanzoe Main Restaurant — modern Greek tasting menu.

Private traditional caique from Kosta across to Spetses, ~25 minutes. Walk the harbor, horse-and-carriage to the Anargyrios school. Lunch at Tarsanas at 14:30 — lobster spaghetti on the old harbor. Return by caique. Dinner: Patralis in Kosta, 20:30.
Epidaurus
Drive 90 minutes to Ancient Epidaurus theatre with a private guide — the acoustics are still measurable from the top tier. Lunch at Karagiannis taverna in Ligourio. Back to Amanzoe for sunset on the pavilion. Late dinner at the Main Restaurant.

Drive 1h20m to Nafplio with the same driver. Palamidi Fortress at the top (lots of steps — go early). Lunch on the seafront promenade. Back to Amanzoe for the final-night sunset and Beach Club dinner at 20:00.

Anastasi · 11:00–11:20 PM is the sweet spot
Mass starts at 22:30 in Pylos, but the Holy Light is passed outward to the churchyard at ~23:50 and the bells + fireworks come at midnight. Stand outside in the courtyard, front-left, so the candle line reaches you fast and you get the sky in your photos.

The white Easter candle you'll light from the priest's flame is sold decorated in Pylos shops on Holy Saturday. Carry it home lit; tradition marks a smoke cross on the doorframe for blessing.

Repeat guests universally call MO in-resort F&B punishing — €28 for two small wines vs €8 for two large in Pylos. Katerina's Taverna (Gialova) and Akrogiali (Methoni beach under the castle) are the trip's actual best meals.

The standard "Classic Courtyard" rooms have no exterior view — they look into the hotel's light-well. Spec a high floor on the city/Acropolis side. The in-room balcony breakfast with the Parthenon framed by your rails is the honeymoon photo.

Voidokilia Beach: arrive before 10 AM or after 17:00
No facilities, no umbrellas, no shade, no cafe — bring everything. Midday with full sun and busloads ruins the photo. Hike up to Paleokastro/Nestor's Cave (30 min from south tip) for the omega-shape aerial.

Amanzoe Beach Club opens May 1, not April
If your stay ends before May, the Beach Club's pools, water-sports and dining are closed. Lean into the hilltop strengths: heated pavilion pools, the spa, a private RIB to Spetses' Zogeria cove, and a candlelit Amphitheatre dinner (must be arranged 48h ahead).

Epidaurus theatre: morning, with a single coin
Go 08:00–10:00 on a non-festival day (festival starts June). Have one person stand at the orchestra stone and drop a coin; the other goes to row 55 and hears it clearly. The Festival is from June — April visits get an empty theatre.

Helicopter Athens → Costa Navarino is real, but expensive
Hellenic Seaplanes Athens → Pylos is still not a reliable scheduled product. The private helicopter (~75 minutes, max 4 pax) runs €5,500–€7,500 one-way. Worth it as the experience, not the time-saver — the 3-hour Olympia Odos drive is one of Greece's best roads.
